Between March 14-16, Diabeta was present at the event dedicated to professionals in specialties such as diabetes, nutrition and metabolic diseases, cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, neurology, International Conference on Interdisciplinary Management of Diabetes Mellitus and its Complications (INTERDIAB). It provided a unique platform for the exchange of ideas and innovation in the treatment and management of diabetes.
The Diabeta team had the privilege to interact with numerous healthcare specialists, discussing current trends, challenges and solutions in treating diabetes. Dr. Iulia Măntălău, one of the doctors we talked to, shared with us her enthusiasm for the event and for the Diabeta initiative.
“I heard about Diabeta even before it appeared and it seems to me a good idea, because artificial intelligence is gaining more and more ground and it should not be something to be afraid of,” said Iulia Mantalau, diabetes resident, stressing the importance of adapting technology to improve the care of patients with diabetes.
Asking about the advice she would give to patients with diabetes, Dr. Iulia Mantălău stressed the importance of a close and trusting relationship with their doctor. “Patients should find a doctor with whom they can have a very good relationship, trust and be very open to,” she added.

Diabeta was developed by a Romanian company, Apollo AI Technologies, specialized in developing professional applications based on artificial intelligence. The app is made available to doctors in professional medical communities run by Oameni și Companii, with the support of partners Novo Nordisk, Boehringer Ingelheim and Medtronic. The application is available free of charge for doctors and can be accessed based on a user account that can be requested on www.diabeta.ro.
