Yesterday, during an important debate on “Equal opportunities in the digital age – the influence of technology on the quality of life of Romanians”, organized by the Commission for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men and CIPRA, Mihaela Onofrei, CEO and co-founder of Apollo AI Technologies, presented the tools developed by her company and highlighted the importance of using technology in healthcare, focusing on ethics and data quality.
Apollo AI Technologies distinguishes itself by developing advanced chatbots for healthcare professionals, giving them the opportunity to easily access large volumes of correlated data. One of Apollo AI Technologies’ flagship products is Diabeta, the first conversational interface addressed to diabetologists. It was approved by the NAMMD (Romanian National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices) and was initially developed for diabetes specialists, but is now also used by doctors in other specialties. The project involved a multidisciplinary team from the medical field, artificial intelligence and communication, under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Anca Pantea Stoian, PhD.
Another tool developed by Apollo AI Technologies is Pharmachat, an intelligent interface that provides information about any approved drug in Romania. Pharmachat provides accurate answers to questions related to all medicines available in the country, relying on continuously updated documents to provide only accurate information. With the help of advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, Pharmachat extracts information from over 8,500 official documents about authorized medicines in Romania and instantly provides answers about over 1.7 million drug interactions.
Mihaela Onofrei, CEO and founder of Apollo AI Technologies, underlined that all products developed by the company have received NAMMD approval and are created with the involvement of a team of renowned doctors. The event “Equal opportunities in the digital age“, organized by the Commission for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men and CIPRA, was attended by members of the Romanian Parliament, representatives of the Government and governmental institutions, as well as representatives of associations and non-governmental organizations.
