The newest Diabeta integrations presented at the 50th edition of the National Diabetes Congress

At the 50th edition of the National Congress of the Romanian Society of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, held in Timisoara, the Apollo AI Technologies, RoDiabet and icMED teams  presented a new innovation in healthcare: the integration of the Diabeta chatbot into icMED.

This advanced technology is designed to integrate seamlessly into the workflow of diabetologists using the icMED platform and comes with a series of functionalities designed to improve the experience of both doctors and patients.

Assoc. Prof. Anca Pantea Stoian, PhD,  joined representatives of Apollo AI Technologies and icMED to discuss the benefits and operation of the Diabeta chatbot. During the presentation, participants had the opportunity to explore in detail how this technology can optimize medical processes and provide real-time support for diabetes management.

During the event, it was emphasized the importance of collaboration between companies in the Romanian IT ecosystem to accelerate the country’s digitization process. “We are delighted with this collaboration and I believe that, by joining forces, we will be able to make significant contributions to Romania’s digitalization. Our partnership with icMED is just one example of how technology can transform healthcare services,” said Mihaela Onofrei, CEO of Apollo AI Technologies.

The Diabeta chatbot is designed to integrate directly into the icMED platform, providing diabetologists with an innovative tool that allows them to efficiently manage patients. Diabeta can automatically answer patients’ frequently asked questions, provide personalized advice based on medical data, and help continuously monitor patients’ health. This not only saves valuable time for doctors, but also ensures a high level of care for patients.

The collaboration between Apollo AI Technologies and icMED highlights the enormous potential of technology in transforming the healthcare sector. The integration of Diabeta is an important step towards a modern medical practice, where efficiency and accessibility are priorities.

This initiative also reflects both companies’ commitment to supporting Romania’s digitalization and contributing to the development of a robust and innovative IT ecosystem.

During the national diabetes congress, Apollo AI Technologies and icMED planned to continue discussions about the functionalities and advantages of the Diabeta chatbot. Representatives of both companies will present case studies and concrete examples of the use of technology, highlighting how it can transform daily medical practice.

The collaboration between Apollo AI Technologies and icMED is not only an example of technological innovation, but also a model of efficient cooperation within the Romanian IT ecosystem. Through these joint efforts, the road is paved for a digitalized future of Romania, where technology plays a crucial role in improving the quality of life and medical services.

Diabeta is the first medical chatbot approved by the National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices in Romania, developed by the technology company Apollo AI Technologies together with a team of dedicated doctors and is supported by prestigious partners such as Novo Nordisk, Boehringer Ingelheim and Medtronic.
